NAD _Laney IRF Dual-top 60W SS

EQ's back like it was before (same as in the video) ..but w/ the guitar's 'Alter Switch' on for extreme (single coil-like) tonal variation...

.....otherwise ..same thing..ie, insane shred, timeless melodies, sweep's, counterpoint [hha..before you wet yourselves w/ delight, just kidding 'bout that last one ..no idea what that is :lmao:] etc.. but NO tapping in this one (cuz variation) :bigthumb:

"I am the master of the enchanted tune
I'll play for your joy, for your soul, for your doom
My fingers they dance upon the strings like fire
Weaving a spell of my burning desire"
~ Bewitched (Messiah Marcolin/Candlemass)

:bigthumb:

^^ Also has one of my all-time favourite guitar solo's (@ 4:35 mins - Lars Johansson)...cuz it screams & f'n shreds, is Epic/memorable as **** and could'nt be more perfect for the song :bigthumb:

^^ Thought I'd plug something in w/ actives...

Can't see the maestro's up there ^^ not being into this...even when I told them it was 100% "theory-free".

I mean yeah, they might be a bit sullen and grumpy about it (cuz they're a pretty grim looking bunch). But when they hear 'my fingers dance upon the strings like fire' ... they're all going to start shuffling around uncomfortably & giving each other shifty looks..

Pretty sure Bach especially would say " Eh, who needs this ****" and lose the pamphlet (he's obviously not crazy about it anyway) :lmao:

My low-gain wood amp is working fine again so I thought I'd plug it into the Vox 1x12 and record something to be sure. Last time I fired it up. I thought I'd blown a tube or something. It sounded buzzy & all the sustain was gone. Volume was really low too. But after pulling & resettling the tubes on a whim it's working fine again.,

NCD (New Cab Day) x3. I got the Custom one's I ordered a couple weeks ago (Two oversized 1x12's). Pretty sweet/solid, nothing to complain about. They're still empty though.i will need to load the Creamback M (65) i just bought into one of them. The other I'll keep as a spare for now..

Also while browsing my local classified's I saw a Laney 2x12 that was being sold loaded w/ V30's. It was pretty cheap too, so I said why not? It's just a couple month's old in mint Condition. Yeah V30's would'nt be my first choice but not cuz they're bad speakers ..on the contrary...

Has the same new Laney logo as my 120W Ironheart head....so a 100% matching cab :bigthumb:

My older Laney IRT 2x12 has a different logo than the amp.

New Laney Cab w/ the Hotone HeartAttack..cuz clips are mandatory :bigthumb:

My old cab & my IRT120 head.. (different logo's)..

Not real obsessive about stuff like that but if they match it's a plus :p

Vs. Vox1x12 w/ Redback :bigthumb:

Mic was @the edge of the dustcap for all three cabs/video's. As close to each other's positioning as I could tell..

I do need to get a new jack plate for the new 1x12 though. The one that's in there has huge mounting holes for speakons or something..

Also the speaker is front mounted onto the baffle. I prefer rear mounted cabs, but in this case it's probably a good thing cuz the Creamback 65 is often a bit dark sounding in video's and this cab isn't at all...it's awesomely balanced in fact. So maybe the front mounting has something to do w/ that.. sounds livelier/brighter with awesome overtones. Or maybe it's just the size of the cab, it's huge for a 1x12...couple of inches deeper than the new Laney 2x12 & just marginally less wide (pic)

They're both closed back..while my Vox 1x12 is semi-open.

First go w/ the SS Laney. Both cabs mic'd with dynamics (SM57 & AudioTechnica MB2k). "link out" from the Laney 2x12 into the 1x12. Then both mic signals blended/balanced/recorded to the same track...cuz it's faster/less fussy :bigthumb:
