Wow...this thread still going strong (thanks to Astro apparently haha)

I just googled them and have to admit the CAR and Sonic Blue Stratocasters look sa-weet!

Too bad about the Tele finishes...I would have loved a Tele-Gib for $400-$500.

If you meant my post, I meant that too bad the Tele doesn't come in a more traditional color like some sort of blonde for that Tele-Gib vibe.

oh my god, theyre finally on MF! IT HAPPENED
WE REACHED OUR GOOOOAAAL! NOW THE ONLY THING LEFT TO DO....IS MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. SUNBURST JAZZMASTER IS WHERE ITS AAAAT.

I like the looks of the silver Tele and the red Strat - both with rosewood necks. Who knows, someday...

While this may have started as a "piece of sh1t", it definitely didn't end up as one.

A few upgrades here and there, some basic tech knowledge, and they can end up pretty awesome.

so mexi strats are pices of 'sh1t' are they?

actually its down to personal preference, If i want to buy a squier strat or a mexi strat then i do, because the quality is good for the money. My college peer uses a mexi strat in his lessons and tutorials and he says it does a good job, for performances he will use that alongside his Am Std and better guitars, but the mexi neck feels great!

tell you what i think are peices of S**t are your expensive gibsons and Fenders which are overpriced for what they are truely worth!!!

Yeah i see what you say about craigslist, but honestly, sometimes you drop lucky and get a mint condition as new fender US for peanuts but surely, like anything, this can be afar and few between? what you have to realise is theres no point in buying a guitar if it isn't what you want. if you want a stratocaster with two good humbuckers then why pay more for a secondhand as new mint condition Am Std which you would have to convert by which point it would override the whole point of getting a guitar?

the only reason i say US fenders and gibbys are expensive is because you pay for a name, you see the price differences between the gibsons which are identical or similar but with different names. look at fender custom shop and all that, like what was said elsewhere on another thread (sorry forgot thread and forum member..) by a guitar salesman, if someone with 2000 bucks or something cash in their pocket is determined to lay down their money **snap** for a custom shop guitar without playing it, get them to try a Highway one, American made and is just as good as any other expensive fender, yet a H1 costs $600 or something?? thats a hell of a saving...

Anyway end of rant.... if you want a blacktop Buy it don't hesitate! I would but they aint made left handed ... obviously someone wasn't thinking in the marketing and sales department....
