How about Sir Paul McCartney?
Still not enough for you?
Tony Iommi.
Just those two are enough.
What I want to know is: Will the JM fit a traditional JM pickup in the bridge? If so, one of the BT' Jazzy's in sunburst strung up with 9's and loaded with Antiquity II JM pickups will be in my future.
They look cool. Of course this brings up the question..."which pickups for a Fender Blackout..?"
..No other than Seymour Duncan Blackout
Iommi used a Strat for how long? The pickup blew out while recording "Black Sabbath." Since replacement pickups weren't easily available, he switched to his SG and "never looked back."
I'm sure that every famous guitarist has used something other than what they're known for. Except for maybe Angus Young. The point is that Paul is known for playing his violin bass and Les Pauls, and Iommi his SG's. Yes, they've played Fenders before, as has everyone. But then they sobered up and switched back to their respective instruments.
 I think it's just an experiment in tone, like how I sometimes take my Gibson and Epi guitars out and play them for a while, I get these huge chunky sounds, which are good for a lot of things, but most of the time I'm playing a Fender because I get some of that HB chunk with Fender bite.
Might get the strat if it comes in red with black guard.
NO! You have to get a Jazzmaster!
...I'm starting to think I need one. I still need a JM and a mustang. starcaster is no longer an option... Bronco will be next to impossible.

Am I the only one even remotely excited about the necks and not the pickups!?
We're looking at 22-medium jumbo fret, 9.5 radius Mexican necks! That means there's hope that those necks filter into the regular series people! or at least that's what I hope.
Well, other than the extra fret (which I never use anyway) that's pretty much what the current MIM neck is.
You need a Jazzmaster so bad AZ. You can feel it deep down in your soul. Think of the Robert Smith's go-to guitar.
I'm a fan of Jazzmasters with 2 P-90s but that said if I got this guitar a P-Rails and triple shot would drop into the bridge position nicely!
Oh man, if they had made this with kill switches and called it the "Jag-Stang" it would've sold like candy at Halloween, especially in the '90s. I guess it's better they learn late then never learn at all. Nice design.
on a different note, are we all buying the jazzmaster in burst?
