NGD Some will love it, some will hate it

Re: NGD Some will love it, some will hate it

O my God they are so sexy. Time to rip out the quick connect and put in 50s wiring

Love the WLH in mine. Cant wait to hear what you think!

I have the WLHs in my Traditional, I love them. I am putting them in the other Les Paul so the guitars eq closer for live swaps.

Aww man that's a great looking guitar and love the idea of the thin but decked out body

Got the pickups in it sounds exactly like my other Les Paul. The interesting thing is the cap is the same as a typical Les Paul so long shaft pots had to be used, unlike an SG.

I thought you stated earlier in this thread, that it came with your favorite Gibson pickups
What happened

My Gibson has the double slug cheap pickups
Basically just an Alnico 5 version of the M2 pickups

I have noticed something makes the volume disappear when I roll it below full up
Sometimes the neck pickup doesn't work at all

I got a set of the Pure Tone Jack's and a JB/Jazz set for it
And some Grover locking tuners
I just ain't got around to putting it all in

Weren't those burstbuckers or something?

They are still my favorites when talking about OEM Gibsons. I have 498Ts in my Iceman, Roadstar and my SG. All three guitars sound great and the Les Paul Lite had a killer tone. My Traditional with the WLHs is out of this world. I said it before "WLHs make a Les Paul sound the way you expect a Les Paul to sound". I wanted the Lite to sound closer to my No. 1 for live swaps and in general.

Ok not exactly like the other Les Paul. I finally plugged it into the Marshall (I have been playing it through the Classic 20) and it sounded a bit harsh on the highs and boomy on the bass. Plugged in my Traditional with the same settings and it sounded perfect. Plugged the Lite in again and rolled back the bass and treble a bit and slightly goosed the mids and bingo it sounded exactly like the Traditional. I think I might invest in a programable Source Audio EQ.
