Peavey Transtube 100EFXHD Head

What blows me away are the biases / prejudices that companies like Carvin, Peavey, Crate and other amps get .

Any musician who has any know how can make any set up sound good.
If not, they don't know their own way around gear, have no patients and or blinded with gear snobbery. :D

It is ridiculous it even expands to key brands. I have seen people post they got a Marshall JCM 900 and someone will call it garbage. The extreme is someone will buy a JCM 800 and people will throw shade because it isn't a 2203. Any Fender that isn't blackface should be thrown in a woodchipper. The examples of stupidity go on and on. My thought is if you do not like a piece of gear stay out of the thread and keep your comments to yourself. However, there are people that need to cast negativity on someone's NAD or NGD and that is the only purpose they serve on the forum.

I have always said - learn how to play the amp.

Understanding where/how the EQ hits in a given amp, how the gain/vol interact, and what happens as the volume gets louder and preamp vs power tube gain (if tubes) is extremely important.

I've jammed with people or had other guitarists with Kempers, Eleven Racks, Helix's and other Axe FX gear, get blown way by the fact that my old Digitech RP-1, RP-12 and Digitech 2112 SGS can get a better tone than their more modern gear.

Heck, some of them are even looking at some of the older Boss, Digitech and Art effects moduals differently now.

Those older ADA, Digitech, Art, Boss, Behringer, Yamaha are still relevant today.:D

Has anyone played or owned this Peavey head?

I found this amp today really cheap in great shape and was wondering if it was any good? Has many effects that look interesting. Not sure if it has a footswitch. Didn't have the time to plug it in today, but will check it out at some point if it hasn't sold by then. Here's the front of it...

Do you use the built in effects ?
Does it have a knob to controll how much the built in effects in that amp ?

Yes I use the effects all the time. It has a dedicated effect knob with 26 settings for each modulation effect. The reverb and delay are a separate knob.
