I don't have a favorite brand, I just like individual guitars. The new ones I like the most right now are the Peavey Wolfgang/EB-MM Axis, basically the same guitar, Eb/MM John Petrucci, Gibson Les Paul with the slim taper neck. I have an old Gibson Explorer from the 70s that I love, great feel and great tone. I think Gibson makes good guitars now, but they use to make great guitars back when they were at what's now the Heritage plant. Late 70s/Early 80s handmade BC Rich guitars, I love these guitars, I'm going to have Moser Custom Shop make me a guitar the old BCR way.

I'm a Gibson SG man all the way, but the ESP Vipers are starting to get my attention. Both have crappy pickups unless you buy the higher $ models too.

I voted for Heritage but I think Schecter should be on the list - probably would have gotten my vote - there Diamond Series has improved but their USA models are the shiznit.

I voted for Heritage. I personelly feel (of course thats my opinon), a Heritage is better axe than a Gibson. But where is JACKSON AND HAMMER. Put those in and I would vote for JACKSON.

Me says Heritage - never owned one, buit played a friends fully loaded 150CM and just loved it. I'd have to say Fender, then Gibby and PRS.

To me a guitar has to have MOJO or just something organic and natural about the way it plays and feels. I live Dean and Gibson for that. This is a big reason why I have held onto my Deans for so long, and finally bought a Les Paul which gives me the same sense of serious mojo. I had two Hamers and they always felt stiff to me and couldn't vibe with them, but killer quality. I am still deciding on PRS.

And I have to say that right now I like to play my BC Rich over all the others.

I love my Muisc Man Silhouette Special. It makes a better Fender than Fender does. I can nail LP sounds with 5 pounds less weight. And they don't charge obscenely high prices, making it a 'status' instument.

Head, shoulders and a country mile.

Assuming resale value was not an issue (you know, desert island scenario, or some-such), and I was given the option of a '59 Les Paul, the best '60's Strat I've ever played or the Steinberger GM4T I own, I would take my Steinberger in half a heartbeat. Seriously.
