Even if I had unlimited funds I'd go with a Faded Special finish. I like the feel, the look and not having to fear dinging it. Mostly the feel - I adore it. Make it with a neck the overall size of mine and give it a slight V like my Jimmy Vaughan Strat, maybe a little less. Jumbo Frets. Small pick guard. '59's for Pups.
Keep it very simple.

I found my perfect SG yesterday. It's nothing fancy but it works for me. It's an '01 SG Special with a few upgrades. The tuners have been changed to Grovers, the bridge has been changed to an ABR, and the knobs have been changed also. Everything else is stock. The 490T & 490R pickups along with the huge 50's style neck make it a great guitar!

Someone takes things a bit too seriously here... unfortunately the internet can't really show inflection in tone like real life can. And then people take your joking shut ups as serious shut ups, and before we know it CHina's nuking us all and it's game over man!
