Focus 1000's are great guitars for the money.... basically a Baretta with cheaper hardware and depending on year the necks are different....

Oh yeah! Focus' were made by ESP... Great! Orig floyds etc.. Ive had a couple 1000s. I still have a 6000.

My buddy had that same 83 Pacer ^^^ in polar white. Bought it new at Reliable Music in Charlotte, NC. That was a killer guitar and a killer music store.

I was gonna start a new thread for this, but what the heck.

Can you tell what is different?

Installed a Bigsby B5 + Vibramate over the weekend... The Vibramate is a fantastic product. Zero holes drilled in my SG. A 100% reversible mod.

A great, flush, super-mechanical-contact fit between strings and wood. The thing is rock-solid. I've told myself I'll order the Schaller roller bridge if it won't stay in tune, but I didn't buy a Bigsby to divebomb and so far I'm not having much trouble with tuning.

By the way, WHY DIDN'T ANYBODY TELL ME that the added mass a Bigsby adds to your guitar results in such dramatically increased resonance and sustain? Because it does.

Anywho.. thanks for endulging me.. back to our regularly-scheduled guitar pron thread.
