tc electronics Hall of Fame , now what?

The Hall of Fame is midi controllable in the TC Helicon Voice Live 3 ( & X )

Sure.

So is your recommendation to the OP, who's tired of the HOF sounds, to buy a $600 multieffects unit which includes the same sounds but is Midi controllable?

When someone considers something like a higher priced one trick pony yeah sure if
your ponying up serious bucks and want midi control .

What the OP stated IMHO was he was needing a change with something with more to
it than his present TC unit that had no midi control .

The VL3 @ around $500.00 used is not to out of the picture with new
Strymon TimeLine Multidimensional Delay Pedal @ around $450.00

Just comparing tells me the bang for the buck is limited in one and not the other .

But that's just my take YMMV Oh - I almost forgot . I got a VL3X for $550.00 new
unopened in the box , that's $100.00 over the price of the coveted Strymon TimeLine Multidimensional Delay Pedal

As good as the HOF is I always feel like I need something different. The Sound and Toneprints are excellent. But again I find myself playing around with it to much to find my tone. Thats when I know I need a change.
:headbang:
If your a tweaker ( no diss I'm talking tech tweaker ) and like to really get inside of a unit's functions
and you like doing just that , the act of experimenting and exploring sound scapes , there is no single easy
button unit .

You appear to be ready to jump into serious soundscaping stuff . It's gonna cost ya but ,
It will hurt so good when you get what your after .

I posted on my system , it took a while to figure out what I needed . Your quest is cool and
fun , but you might spend some $'s on stuff you didn't really want , it's sometimes a costly
learning process , but if you are like most , the process can be a fun trip while on the quest :smokin: .

I gotta agree with you on one thing. The Timeline is not a good reverb pedal; but mostly because it's a delay.

Lots of ways to go around the mountain , some power straight up damn the torpedoes/cost .

I realized my point was extreme ( he heh heh ) but the idea of locking into any FX and hoping
you will get what rings your bell is a costly experience most times as you progress in knowledge .

I hate wasted $'s too on useless gear . I am after years of service and not want an obsolete unit(s)
in one year .
