THAT amp!? Which one rocks your world

I have a few amps, the one that always puts a smile on my face is the Uberschall. It's the sound in my head.....Van Halen 1 meets And Justice For All. So much fun. Thump, but defined, mids that rip your face off like We Die Young from AIC, articulate like Yngwie and early EVH.

For you older dogs here... which one of yours is always putting a smile on your face and why?

i use my '66 deluxe reverb for 90% of my gigs. when i can run the volume at 7, im a happy man. fat rock & roll tone with great sustain and it cleans up amazing well with the volume control on the guitar

VHT Pittbull 100CL. My favorite high gain tones I've ever played. I feel lucky every time I fire it up.

But if you get more than 8 o'clock it is just too loud

My 15 watt stage right gives that edge of distortion break up that's growing on me

Of those I own, probably my Orange AD50 into my Marshall 4x12 straight cab with Celestion greenbacks. Makes most any tone I need by rolling the gain, master and bass control.

Yeah, I don't own one, but a good friend does. I love playing through that amp!

My first gen real US built PRS Archon head. Great cleans, amazing, with a very dynamic and touch sensitive high gain side. It just sounds and feels right every time I plug into it. Have other amps, but the Archon is just special.
Live on my PRS 2/12 Deep cab with my Kiesel DC 135. Owned a LOT of amps over the years, this is my all-time favorite.

I have an old VHT Pittbull Ultra Lead also (non-graphic EQ).... they are remarkable amps.

I was mainly a Rectifier guy before I tried the EVH stuff. I still kind of am. But TBH, the EVH stuff is so easy to get a good tone out of. Just don't believe the forum hype about the 666 settings. Those sound horrible, LOL.

Bought my EVH 100w some ten years ago and still love it so much I got myself a 50w for home use just the other day.

I had never heard of the 666 setting, had to Google it. I'd have to check, but I'm almost certain that's how I have my red channel dialed in.

Those settings don't work for me, personally. At least not with V30's or Greenbacks, and then an SM57 on top of that. But each to his own, I guess.

Been real happy with my old Randall RH 200 of late. Really, my Spidervalve is probably my best amp. But this Randall just brings it.
