I'll post my dream/vision of the nickel cover for the Peacemaker here as well since Scott is about to delete the polls tomorrow.

If we could get it with a engraved antiquity cover like this, then :32: ...I'm outta words :laugh2:

I was thinking the same thing. It has negative connotations, and I'd rather think of this as a positive thing.

Does anyone actually know what a 10K pup sounds like?

I don't have time to read the whole thread but I am pretty sure it's similar to dmz breed neck!
I just emailed dmz last week about the difference between breed neck as a bridge hummer and air zone at bridge. they told me it's similar in output but brighter and more focused.

I've made some arrangements, I'm 100% in now if we get the payment thing solved. If it's easy and safe to do without thousands of extra fees (I already got shipping, insurance and customs) I'll do it.

Like said, if possible, I'd like a matching neck bucker, although just a bridge will do. More than a neck bucker I'd like the bridge to be tremspaced if possible. All of my three guitars have tremspacing, and I can't really think of buying a standard spaced guitar anytime soon. I don't even know a guitar that has such!

Uhm I'd really like to get one of those, but this would depend on how the shipping to Europe affects the price (as this is sometimes a quite big ammount of money with shipping and other fees [Maybe you could mark it as "present" so we don't have to pay so much?]) and of course how much money I blow out during the next weeks So if orders are taken in Jan, I'd be fine and would tell you then... I wanted something hotter to replace my '59anyway...

I'd say wax potted, 4 cable, nickel cover, short legs (as it goes into my strat), Alnico 5
I either don't care for the other things or leave that to peeps who really know what they're talking about

As stated before, I would like to see a run number or small engraving added to the pick-up to distinguish it as a forum 'project' rather than a custom shop model that could be ordered by anyone at anytime.

This would be really cool indeed. But It'd have to be on the top cover so everyone can see it :bowdown:

Unfortunately, an established business like Duncan can't mark these shipments as a present and risk whatever penalties they could get nailed with for fraud. It would be cool, but they're not going to do that. I've refused to do that even on little eBAY shipments. They don't fool around with that stuff.

Customs + tax is about 30% extra IIRC. To that one must add shipping and insurance. I don't want to get it as a present or anything, if it goes through customs it goes. Law's there to be respected. But it does make it a bit more expensive and requires more thought.
