Johtosotku said:How can "X" sound modern? It's a roman number, isn't it? Not exactly the most modern one, is it?
I'd rather have no names or such on the engraving, maybe the "X" could be okay. If there's to be a poll, I think that we should first ask if we want a name or not and only second what the name would be.
I'm wondering now, how many would be up for the tremspaced run? I think that I'll have to pass if it's only "standard" (!) spacing.

SoCalSteve said:Thanks for the confirmation. I was just about to go buy new pups tomorrow but now this thread makes me wonder if I should wait for one of these. I'm at a disadvantage though because I didn't read the original threads because of all the bickering so I don't really even know what to expect from this pup but if it's an exclusive special then I'm in!
TheArchitect said:Bickering? You were reading the wrong posts. The discussion of this offer has been more than fine
Nightburst said:Yeah they are.
the guy who invented fire said:NO THEY ARE NOT...post 95/non Historic Gibson guitars use a slightly wider spacing that actrually falls between vintage ABR-1's and trem spacings...in those guitars a standard spaced pickup is still normal and what ALL major makers use...a trembucker can be used on those guitars but it's a tight fit and sometimes they won't even fit!
SoCalSteve said:Well crap. I've gotta make sure which to get. I measured both pups last night from outer pole piece to outer pole piece and the bridge is wider than the neck. Also, Dimarzios site said the later models are trem-spaced so I assumed that's what I need. More digging to do...............
SoCalSteve said:Thanks. The DiMarzio site says it's better to go wider than more narrow so if in doubt go trem spaced. I believe I'll go standard on the neck and trem on the bridge. I can always return it if it doesn't fit easily
