It seems that Everyone that I know that owns more than one Guitar. Theres always ONE of they're guitars that gets used 99% of the time. Someone might have 12 guitars, but theres always that One guitar that they own, That if they can only bring one guitar, They pick the same one every time.

Theres nothing wrong with that, I'm the same way. I'm just kinda curious too see what everyones "Workhorse" is. Theres alotta guys on here that have alotta nice guitars, But everyone seems to Have ONE guitar that is they're deffinate favorite.

So, What is YOUR workhorse guitar? The one guitar that you play The most. The One guitar that If you could Only bring one to a gig, This is the one you'de choose. Whats your Workhorse? Post pics if ya got em. But please limit yourself to One guitar, not nessicarrily your Best, But your personal favorite that you use More than any other.

Mahogany neck-thru maple-sided superstrat style guitar. H-S-H SD equipped. The frets are smaller than I would ideally go for but it's incredibly easy to play. Wouldn't mind changing out the pickups sometime for some different ones though.

My PRS McSoap Standard w/ Lollars. That guitar gets played all the time (it's the first guitar I grab when I'm around the house). When my Collings gets done (which should be very soon), that'll no doubt be my #1. I've been using my regular McCarty a lot as well in my new band, so we'll see.

Re: What is YOUR "workhorse" guitar?

Hmmm.... technically, the LP, but it would probably break down like:
35% LP
34% Ibanez
31% Kramer

It's a tie between these two buggers (depending on if I'm feeling glam or not):

A well worn 97 Am Std. I played this on at least 150 gigs. It used to have Fat 50's for a long time, and now it has Chubtone El Gordo/2 63's.

It splits between my Bastardcaster Tele (mid 90s MIM which has been rebuilt within an inch of its life) and my '76 LP Custom.

From 1984 until the late 90's. My trusty 84' SQ Squier Strat was my Go to guitar. It has all war wounds and battle scars to prove it. It's still playable, But needs a re-fret. I've decommissioned it,And awarded it with a Purple Heart.

My Original Parts-0-Caster is now my main go to guitar. Started out in 83' as just a 2-pc Alder body. I've had a 1/2 dozen or more necks and PuP configurations in it. It now been refinished in Lake Placid Blue Nitro and features a 93' MIM neck. I just added a SH-11 in the bridge.

With this guitar ,Amp and SFX-03. I can cover a lot of sonic ground, And nothing has much monetary or sentimental value. So if something gets lost, stolen or damaged... I won't be crying.:smack:

Fender American Series Strat. It's the only one I have in playing condition,
the other one is in pieces in my study :) You can a part of the Strat in my
avatar.

Re: What is YOUR "workhorse" guitar?

My plaintop '96 LP Standard. It's been to every gig I've played in the last ten years, and was used pretty much exclusively until I acquired my '91 Classic (avatar pic) a couple of years ago. The Classic is a great guitar (and better looking!), but the Standard and I have a special relationship formed from many years rockin' out together. :)

Big Red. Every time I play my Barclay it's like "oh, this sounds nice"

Then I go to my Teisco and it's like "Holy Mary mother of Jesus! This sounds nice."

Re: What is YOUR "workhorse" guitar?

My MIM Strat I've worked on for forever! I've put years in this guitar, it just seems like a part of me.
