I use .010-.046 Bullet's on the Strat, and D'Addario .010-.046 on all the others except the Schecter, which I haven't had long enough to change strings on yet, but it has .011's on it and they feel superb. Easy playing with those jumbo frets. Will probably use D'Addario's on it eventually, but may try a few different sets to see how well I like 'em.
I've also bought several pkg's of .010's Called "Memphis Electric" from Webstrings.Com just to have on hand in case of emergency. They were cheap at a little over $2.00 a set.

Strats: D'Addario .010's
SG and Hamer: DR Pure Blues .010's
Acoustic: D'Addario EJ16's or Martin SP light

EB extra slinky 008-038 on my green charvel, and les paul.
and EB 009-042 on my red charvel.

i heard that Vai uses 007's on his JEM's

He's stated himself that he normally uses .009s but he tends to jump around brands quite a bit. At the time of recording Passion and Warfare he was using Gibson and D'addario .010-.046 with a .056 for the low B (7 string set)

Doesn't Yngwie use like .008-.048? Jimi used a .010-. 038 set, reportedly.

Don't know, but in regard to the .010~.038 i believe GHS makes these two funky sets light-Extra light I think is what they call it, that runs .010~.038; then they have one that's custom light , that's like normal lights on the bottom going up to an extra light top .009 ... I did briefly play aroung with both of those, and if anyone is caught between the 9 and 10 thing (other than the 9.5 things that they made, maybe still do), then one of those sets might be the ticket. Also a friend of mine used to have a guitar that was tuned down to B, he used a hybrid set that he swore by, if anyone's interested I'll dig it up (got it written down, but don't remember it off hand).
I heard a report that Jimi hendrix had used a custom set like .008 going down to something pretty heavy, something he put together himself, but then I've heard that that was :bs2: later on.

Anyone find certain strings sound warmer?? I use GHS Boomers and have benn wondering about trying Dean Markley Blue Steel strings or plain Dean Markleys. Maybe even Ernie Ball or D'Addario. It seems everyone uses Ernie Ball or D'Addario.

D'addario "Flat Tops" - 12-53 light on the Takamine (love these...no slippage sound when going up and down the fretboard!)

Ernie Ball "Regular Slinky" - 50,70,85,105 on the USA P-bass

I use EB 10-52 on both my guitars and a 50-105 or 50-110 EB set on my bass.

Also using Fenders from time to time.....pretty good strings when using a low action, for some reason they are pretty firm and do not rattle very much.

I used to use GHS boomers 14-62 in A=440, but now I'm using EB .11's.

paul gilbert uses 8s.. he has a right to though :laugh2:

i use ernies - 10-48s on the strat and 11s on my 'frankenstein' guitar... when the 11s go, im getting 8's, then ill have some fun with widdly leads for once..

on my ibanez, im currently using d'addario 9's, and on my fat-strat, stainless bullets (10's)

after i finish with sum of the mods to my ibanez, im gunna string it up with d'addario flat wound Chromes, then mehbe try GHS afterwards, and im also gunna try stringin them wrap around bridge style (my ibanez has a gibby style bridge) should be interesting

how the hell is d'addario pronounced?
