WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST AMP?

Re: WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST AMP?

I played through my dad's Pioneer integrated amp (quarter-inch to RCA), then he got tired of me popping the circuit breaker, so Teisco amp/guitar setup for Christmas.

Re: WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST AMP?

My first was a first act from Walmart. It was sooooo bad. I got it with my first (also first act) guitar to learn on. Once I learned enough to play a few songs I upgraded both and I haven't seen either one since.

I got this TA-60 in about 1969 to play my Hammond organ (unfortunately not a B3) through at small gigs. It was very clean for guitar, but a little distorted when connected to the organ from the headphone jack - impedance mismatch?

I wish I could try one now.

Silvertone 1481. Basically a Champ clone in a glorified cardboard cabinet. I still have it, and it still sounds wonderful.

Oh yeah... Feel the Rage.... :D

ya I think I got one of those too. then I got this amp that actually had a better distortion but equally as small called a Gorilla Amp. After working at a small truck stop and surviving 2 failed robbery attempts I managed to get my hands on a Marshall silver jubilee half stack. ya big improvement but dang the 4x12 cab was murder to haul and it was white and showed any scuffs from hauling it around. after that I began to buy combo's.

Re: WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST AMP?

A Silver face Vibro Champ and a red Music Master were my first guitar and amp bought new in 1973.
