If you had room for one pedal, algorithm, rack unit, etc. Modulation effect, what would you choose?

A few years ago I would have said Uni-Vibe or Phase Shifter, but since I got an Analog Chorus, I kind of love it! If I had a Rotosphere, it might be my favorite.

How about the SDUGF membership?

(I'm sure I spaced out a few obvious ones...)

Standalone, a two stage phaser.

In general, the chorus on my DMM.

Re: Your favorite Modulation effect?

I picked tremolo (traditional). I have four pedals, and I use them more than any effects aside from dirt and reverb.

Re: Your favorite Modulation effect?

My favourite is a delay with modulated repeats.

My favourite stand-alone modulation a vibe.

Some sort of chorus/delay.

Re: Your favorite Modulation effect?

Here are three that work well for me.
H20 - Delay and Chorus - Truetone
30MS - Delay, Plate Reverb, and some modulation - Keely
Heliz - Phaser - TC Electronics

:chairfall ...and there it is!

LOL sorry, but Flanger was the first thing I also thought of when I saw this thread. However, my Ibanez CS9 will do some flanging when dialed in right so that is my number one modulation on a stripped down board.

Re: Your favorite Modulation effect?

Not everything listed in the poll is modulation... just sayin'.

That's easy delay. It's the only effect I really hate to do a show without.

Re: Your favorite Modulation effect?

Of those listed, I love a good phaser. The EH Nano Stone is surprisingly good, and I use the clone of the Stone in my Fractal all the time, too. I also like chorus with very little modulation (like a Dimension C) or a very slow Leslie.

Re: Your favorite Modulation effect?

If I could edit I'd merge the tremolo and add flanger back in. I was trying to group by type and when I moved Flanger I forgot to add it back!

I'll give you auto wah/step phaser, but everything else is. And delay isn't. :p But I love modulated Delay as well, so I'll accept it.

Re: Your favorite Modulation effect?

8-voice chorus in the Rocktron Intellifex, my favorite for 25 years. A blackface Intellifex remains in my rack to this day, just for that chorus.

Re: Your favorite Modulation effect?

Rotary Speaker by a countrymile. I'm a sucker for guitars through Leslies.

Second it's a Univibe.

Phaser and Chorus, I don't really like. Flanger I can tolerate with very moderate settings in certain applications.
