Seeing as how you cut your teeth on Deep Purple, Sabbath, and lots of classic metal, I'm sure you'll get yer' ya ya's out on that thing. I'm also sure you'll make better use of the FX loop than most TSL owners.
Modelers do a lot more, but there's something about the grunt and dynamic range of tubes that's hard to duplicate.
Marshall is notorious for biasing those amps cold, so you should open the little panel on the back, and either hook it up to a volt meter, or turn the lights out, and bias it by ear. Observe the glow on the tubes and listen for the sweet spot at stage volume....tweak by ear.
