alot of tele threads been popping up here all of a sudden, is there a reason?

i dunno, maybe i started it with the whole teles vs strats for rock thread

but either way, i've always loved teles way more than any other guitar

hell, i have ideas for 3 i wanna build right now, hopefully i'll get atleast 2 done by christmas

Yep.....It's all your fault Drew....And yes,I'll admit that those topics inspired me to grab hold of both Teles and play em....Thanks for reminding me that there were 2 Teles here at home in cases....Saying "Play Me".....LOL

Telecasters are amazing guitars. I still want one. I'm part of the newer generation of metal guitarists who love Telecasters and vintage guitars.

Right now I don't even GAS for another guitar at all... and that for sure says quite a bit in itself. I found my guitar playing in my tele Had a Jackson before, and that was not me at all...but now since I switched to tele, it gave my playing a whole new dimension and I play ALOT more.

(Though I have to admit that the Tobacco Burst LP in Pepi's avatar... looks fantasic LOL ...But I wouldn't sell my tele, it's a keeper)

Seems like people usually don't like guitars that are made in Korea (my lite ash tele is korean with the hardware made in america) I bought it because I liked it, not because it stood "Made in America" on the headstock, and I have to say that it ate the Highway 1 for breakfast without a doubt. Better quality as well as nicer to play and much better sound with the Alnico Pro II's as stock pickups.

My advice, give Korean made guitars a change...there sure are duds out there but if you shop around for a while there are great ones out there as well. Some even have the quality of an American Standard. Trust me

When I bought my first tele it really changed my whole way of playing! I love mine, and my next guitar will be another Tele!

It's funny though.... I have seen many Tele tribute and appreciation threads. I've only seen one Strat appreciation thread and I can't think of any other guitar tribute thread...

I'll have to say I'm a bit pissed off with my Strat today. I can't get the pickguard to quit creating static electricity. This guitar is shielded good with copper foil and the pickguard is touching all copper foil to ground. I tried the spray and dry sheet and it still pops and cracks :smack:

I hd the same thing happen to my Tele one time. It is actually static electicity. If you play in your socks on carpet it'll happen....

Idk why, but ever since I picked up a tele at guitar center I've been wanting one. Maybe it was just the amp I was using that made it sound that way but I liked the guitar too. My next guitar will either be a tele or a Dean...tough chose.

but im still wondering about an Esquire too......I figured that would fit me better since I almost never use a neck pickup

What do you guys think? Esquire or Tele? I play mostly punk/metal :newangel:

But who knows maybe Ill like the neck pickup?

It's tele season I'm sure! I took mine to CA, to have Seymour sign. So I played mine at the jam. I then played it when I got back. The tele is so gutsy it's hard not to love it.
