I have about 7 .96 Dunlop delrin picks and prolly 10 fender medium in a box somewhere. I got a 12 pack of the delrin last summer and so I feel like I've done an ok job not losing them though I never really give it thought.
The delrin is a bright color so they are hard to lose. They wear pretty slowly and I have never broken one. I don't shred but I like the fast release of the pick, it just feels right to me. I find the tone pretty balanced.
Have been thinking of trying v picks though. Have heard a lot of good things

Ok, rainy day -finally cleaned up at home around my amps and guitar cases and collected all the little trays at amps and such

I'm guessing between 500-700 including some unopened packages -but I think I might clear a 1000 if I went through cases in the garage and attic, and through closets and my recording gear.

Actually not near as many as I thought I would find -but then again didn't check everywhere hahaha.

Still I need to start throwing older ones away -bad habit of pawning them off on guests and bandmates who are short to avoid my freshies... :lmao:

That’s what the old ones are for!!

We play one song in which the bass player uses a pick, and of course he never has any. I always give him and old used up one!! Ha!

Every Christmas, my wife gets me an "assortment pack." Therefore, I have hundreds. I don't have the heart to tell her I rarely use one anymore.

So I organize my pics in bins by type last night -And I would like to reduce my estimate to maybe 350 -I feel much better now.

I have assorted picks of all types from 50+ years of playing. The vast majority of them are not picks I like or use. In fact these days I only use the large Fender 346, maybe I bought about two dozen.
