I put them in a reproduction Fender Bassman 2x12 cab. They are nowhere near broken in yet but one thing is clear. A 50 watt bassman is not enough to even make them sweat. :) Not surpising given the 150 watt rating they have. This cab however seems to have to low-lowmid resonance that the original had. I may install some batting/foam in it to tame that some.

Kind of looking forward to hearing the plexi through it.

Re: Installed the Eminence Texas Heats

these speakers sound real nice in my Twin. I'd say they are fairly balanced all around.

Re: Installed the Eminence Texas Heats

Well I tried the cab with a 50 watt JMP NM Marshall. I like this amp through this cab a lot better. The Marshall doesn't have the big round bottom that the bassman has which seem to fit the cab/speakers a lot better. Because the speakers aren't close to their limit they are cleaner sounding than a 25 watt greenback and have a lot more punch. The tone was spot on for the opening of "Coming of Age" by the Damn Yankees. I still only have about an hour of play time on them. I suspect they will take a while to fully break in since they really aren't being pushed hard.

Cool. I was waiting to hear how they faired with the Marshall. I like clean speakers too so the added headroom they leave sounds like a winning combination.

Clips? :D

No Clips at the moment but when I am done playing with combinations I may make a few. My studio is dismantled for updates at the moment.

It is an adjustment. I pretty much use Greenbacks exclusively with the Marshalls and low watt eminence made fender speakers in the fender combos.

I'm wanting to try out the Private Jacks and Cannibus Rex Models also. Discretionary income going to the studio right now though.
