Large or Ex-large Fretboard Side Dots

I got a pin vise hand drill

https://a.co/d/5OaMpH5

Like i detailled in the other thread

Hand drill only cuts as fast as you fingers drive it
Dont need much

After the twelfth fret you may start to get a cramp

I used titebond to hold them in

Look at the thread on that

I'd like an inlay that starts on the side of the neck and wraps on to the top. I think I've seen some like that before.

Looks like low E notes in standard tuning?

Luthier called and said it came out better than he expected. He also revarnished and polished the side of the fretboard. The total is $45, this guy does fantastic work, and his prices are beyond fair. I am going to pick up the black Iceman tomorrow, hopefully, and drop off the silver one to have the blue dots done.

I would love to do a Strat body in that paint but I do have a few questions. If anyone has the answers have at it.
  • Is the paint as durable as nitrous, lacquer, or enamel?
  • If not can I clear coat it and with what?
  • Would the clear coat block out any of the UV that the paint needs to charge the glowing effect?

1. No
2. Yes. Lacquer is probably the best choice.
3. Yes. The thicker (more coats) the clear, the more UV will be blocked. But a single thin coat of lacquer will probably not make a noticeable difference.

You can also get glow in the dark powder which you can mix with any clear finish including epoxy..

I have to say that the Luminlay material is absolutely transformative on dark stages.

I gotta thank you for this one, Dave. This is what I love about the SDUGF. You come here with a problem and are presented with a wealth of options and answers, all great solutions. This solution was beyond perfect for what I needed and then some.

Those really came out great! I can't imagine there would be an issue seeing those anymore.
