NAD _Laney IRF Dual-top 60W SS

Ballad #2 ..same settings but w/ the SM57...it's a bit edgy @ super low volumes but it still get's the job done.. :biigthumb:

Well I just scored two oversized empty 1x12 Cabs made of void free plywood for $100..not bad.

1x12-Cabs.jpg

They should be here in a week. The Creamback will go in one and one of my Electro-harmonix drivers can go in the other I guess...

These are pretty much 2x12 sized ( (HxWxD) 15.00 x 25.00 x 14.50 in)

I'm thinking if I make a new baffle for one of them I could probably mount both my Electro-Harmonix speakers in one...maybe offset them a bit.

The other could just be a 1x12 w/ the Creamback..

That way If I stack them on top of each other I'd have a 3x12 :bigthumb:

Deeply emotional & moving neoclassical ballad brimming w/ unforgettable melodies (all come up w/ on the fly using only my ears) interspersed w/ short bursts of tasteful (yet super speedy) shredding/tapping w/o so much as glancing at a pamphlet of theory as always :bigthumb:

Cutting back on the emotional aspect in favour of insane(r) speed, arp's, tapped arp's, shreddmageddon,& (7 ...not 8) finger tapping in a purely classical context, but w/o neglecting unforgettable melodies....

Some (not naming names) would struggle for days sweating over gargantuan theory books trying to come up w/ **** like this but to no avail ...hampered by **** like cauliflower ear & sausage fingers. But eh, for me it's a couple of minutes work (cuz just ear & feel & zero time wasted on cramming useless theory into my brain when I can be PLAYING instead) and I can bang these out all day long.. arps, scales, (7 not 8) finger tapping and all :bigthumb:

Why bother to learn stuff that comes to you naturally anyway.. :bigthumb:

Really like the tone ^^

I guess it's kinda ^^ like Yngwie's Concerto Suite w/ The Japanese Philharmonic...except my version is w/o the Japanese Philharmonic :laugh2:

More neoclassical nimbleness :bigthumb:

Bridge pup ..switched the guitar's alter switch off for this one..(cuz educational value & tonal variation)

I finally got batteries & an SD card for my new camera...so I thought I'd try & take a couple of actual decent pics of my new Ibby shredmachine :bigthumb:

^^ The thing w/ me and melodies is I always make them memorable/unforgettable (pop-rock, Jazz, classical/neoclassical or w/e).

That's cuz I don't try to stuff my melody lines full of theory. No point going off on a tangent trying to cram in as many scales/boxes/circles of 5th's as you know to impress your egghead friends/pet budgie when the end result is you can't string a memorable tune together, got shit vibrato, bend off pitch and generally sound like ass, cuz none of that stuff comes out of a book. (' play to the tune' or GTFO is the way I see it) .

Ever wonder why your average classical musician could'nt come up with a decent tune of their own on the fly to save a dying grand-mother? Lack of imagination. that's why. Comes from a reliance on thick books fo theory and nothing else. Unfortunately a lot of the thickness of those books gets transferred over to the musician as well, making them denser/thicker themselves. It's sad really..

Folk/ballad w/ memorable melodies as always (cuzof not being a smart -ass w/ theory & trying to stuff in as many unneeded scales that sound like ass and don't fit... & playing to the song instead as always)

Cranked the amp up a bit too for this one...hence the sublime tone (though one must'nt forget 'fingers', cuz as everyone knows that's where the tone comes from) :bigthumb:

Ibby RGT w/ the middle selected (Nk + Br) but in a nippier neoclassical context....

as always, unforgettable melodies + nuts speed = present / music theory = absent :bigthumb:

More SS awesomeness ..this little beast exceeded my (already pretty high) expectations...though tbh I've played one before at a friend's place so I knew what it could do....wanted one ever since :bigthumb:

Same settings as in the video..

Already had this backing ^^ track loaded for another video w/ the SS Laney ..but then this came in..so..

Shredding sickness, tap-o-rama, squeelies, whammy trix and other excesses to follow :D

It's really like they took a real recto and made it quieter w/o losing anything else that amp offers. 100% authentic Dual Rec tone ..just quieter @ 5W.

Now for some more lilting strains of (Pure) Classical music, played totally devoid of music theory from fat theory books by your's truly using only my golden ears (all I'll ever need for that perfect virtuoistic balance of speed & melody keeping in mind all the masters ie. Bach, Mozart, Wagner, Strauss, Paganini etc) and of course Yngwie w/ the Japanese philharmonic ..(who I had to sadly make do w/o)

Pushed the mids up 3/4, Bass halfway up & treble pulled back to about 11:00 o'clock..
