I need a 'rob option' because although I think the PRS is a better guitar, it is expensive for an SE and then your going to put more money into it for a re-wire !

Well, he did say he disliked bolt-ons, so the WRMG would probably be out.

Personally I never understood why/how anyone had issues with a bolt-on, unless they're basing their experiences on some low-end poor-quality brand/model they had. Or bad/lack of technique.

But then there's also the KV5FR and KE5FR if you want a Floyd. Or the RR5 if you don't.

To the OP.
I found this on the Carvin guitars-in-stock page of their website for their 4th of July sale.
Body shape is retro 80's metal, so I'm not sure if you're into it, and it's a neck through 25" scale.
But, it has a FR and it's US made, if that helps.
Heck, I'm not even sure where you are located.
It's right at the far end of your price range, but IMO, if you're looking for something well-made and easy playing, it's hard to be Carvin for the price.

Fortunately,SGS model doesn't have that "personalized" finish and inlays from the previous model that detract us to try and buy it. I'd say try both and then choose what you feel more suited to your need and taste. IMO the Torero and SGS are great looking guitars,but I'll be all over SGS if Schecter offer it with no inlays. No inlays+neck/headstock binding+ebony fretboard = Tits!
Long story short,Torero is the winner for me.

I'd have to go with, out of those two, the PRS. I'd buy a different Schecter. Just not that Schecter. It's ****in' retarded looking.

I say get the Brian Haner's guitar so you can reflect later on how much of a dooooosh you are for getting it.

LOL Dude you guys really hate a7x... wow. Anyway I just wanted to clarify I only put the SGS in the running based on features... not who designed it. But it doesn't really make a difference any more anyway, because I am going for the torero. Thanks for the opinions.

Blinded, I checked those out and that would put me back to much money wise, and their body shapes are (excluding the Kelly) are very average.

They're average because they've been copied to death by other companies for almost thirty years.
