Re: Take some NEW pics of your favorite guitar...
My workhorse.
Started life as a 70's Ibanez Silver Series Strat.
Went through lots of configurations, including a very early "pre-fine tuners" Floyd and emerged as the workshop pickup testing axe.
The idea was;Loosen the strings, unscrew the tailpiece,remove/replace pickup, reassemble. Pickup changes in 2 or 3 minutes.
This version came together around '89.
The paint: Oh boy:eyecrazy:.
I was trying out a new painter. I said "let's see what you've got" a couple of days later he drops in this. Flourescent pink covered in purple metallic crackle with a blue pearl tinted clear coat.
I just about puked when I saw it!
Anyway we bolted the thing back together with an early Kramer Ferrington elec/acoustic neck and a pink YES PINK, SD JB. and stuck it in the workshop and tried to ignore it.
But,it was the guitar I used to pick up when ever I wanted to just play for a while or was going to jam or rehearse. So I got used to it.....
20 years later,it's still my main axe.
People still puke when they see it,but it probably got more work through the shop than any other form of advertising.
People would come up to me at gigs and say,"Man,that is the UGLIEST FREAKIN' guitar I've ever seen!!!"
We'd talk guitars, next thing you know, they were in the shop having repairs done or buying new stuff
Anyway,I hope no one has just eaten, coz here it is.....
Cheers,PJ
