I swapped an A5 mag into my 10k Distortion neck. It definitely mellowed it a bit. So much so, that I'll be putting the ceramic back in. Its not "bad", just soft sounding. Not a lot of highs or bass. Its useable as a jazz pup, but I think there's better.

I would want either zebra, or double cream under non-gold covers (any would do). Should we ask for gold screws and slugs? They sure look different. I am not saying we should be still it is an idea to think about!
I would only be up for that if the engraving was very small, like a little bit of text in the corner. A sticker on the back is perfectly fine for me though.

I want one....or 2 if you'll let me. Sign me up and lock me in. This is my contractual agreement!!!
My dream specs:
9.5K (10K might be muddy and may lose PAF voice guys...)
scatterwound
potted
Leave wire choice to MJ (I wanted 42 PE...but I understand that could cause probs--maybe 42 on one coil and 43 on another with mismatched windings to achieve proper voicing and heat? MJ's the expert here)
Alnico 5 mag
double black bobbins (to keep it simple)
4 conductor (to keep it simple)
Voiced like a slightly hotter '59/EVH p'up

I'm in...: private: :cool3:
Prefer:
Zebra (double cream even better) w/ Ni cover (unsoldered)
4 conductor
A5 (I trust Donzo's recommendation)
I'd pay extra if covers etched w/ number & total run (i.e. 1/20 or 51/100)
I'd also buy a GID if limited production guaranteed.

This is a fantastic offer by Seymour Duncan. Amazing that they would make such an offer. Evident of a company that truly values its customers and fans FAR beyond that of the average company.
Thank you.
Zeberus and Curly...glad to see you're interested...:27: Don't worry. I won't tell anyone.

This seems like the interesting and crucial part of a limited edition anything I have seen. Getting someone to set the stats and have people confirm if they are in or out.
Thank You Architect. Why are short and "normal" legs made then? Do "normal" legs not work with certain other type guitars (i.e. make the pup sit too high or something to that effect?)

I would like to echo this sentiment +10000...errr...10K?
Seriously. Thank You Seymour, MJ, Evan and everyone else involved for giving us this opportunity! And especially Scott for making the proposal and "running the show" for us on our end!
