Jomo's Nimions
Yeah, I know the title's kind of a stretch :)

Anywho, my always-inspiring friend Dave (Mincer) picked me for the next Well.

Got a question? Perhaps I have an answer....

Re: Well Episode XVI: Return of the Jedi + X

If you could have any guitar, amp, car, vacation just dropped in your lap, so to say, what would they be?

First guitar?

First amp?

Favorite dog breed?

How many hot dogs do you think you could eat in one sitting?

Where did the name 'JB from Hell' come from?

Re: Well Episode XVI: Return of the Jedi + X

What's the deal with Pokemon? What are you, 6? Everyone knows Starwars if where it's at ;)

Who would win? Darth Maul in Epi I or in EU (before Lars killed him)?

What would a Jedi play? Guitar? Bass? Shamisen?

Hot dog: what kinda sauce? Ketchup? Mostard? Clean?

Guitar = Warwick Thumb neck-thru bass
Amp = old Sunn model T with 4X12, 4X10, and 2X15 cabs
car = probably a new Charger.
vacation = somebody told me about going on a train ride up through Canada, then doing an Alaskan cruise. That sounded pretty awesome.

First guitar?
1968 or 69 Fender Competition Mustang (the red one with the racing stripe). That was the first one that was officially mine, but I spent a year playing the 62 SG/LP you see me periodically post about. I was lucky enough to have a dad with sweet gear.

First amp?
The first one I actually owned was an old Roland JC-120. I got it for my HS graduation present from my dad. I actually spent the first 3-4 years playing his old Super Reverb.

Favorite dog breed?
I like a lot of them, but at the moment my favorite is either Australian Shepherd or Border Collie, because mine is a mix of the two :)

How many hot dogs do you think you could eat in one sitting?
Man, that's a toughie. If it was just the hot dog (no bun), a crapload of them as meat (or meat products) tend not to fill me up that much.

Where did the name 'JB from Hell' come from?
Before the major meltdown in '04 (I think), I traded somebody for a JB and an Invader. After swapping them back and forth a bunch, I saw a thread about swapping magnets. I decided to try putting the oversized ceramic from the Invader into the JB. Upon hearing the result, I decided "JB From Hell" would be a cool name when I signed back up. Had I known then what I know now, my name would be "Duncan Distortion" :)

What's the deal with Pokemon? What are you, 6? Everyone knows Starwars if where it's at ;)
Heh, I've had the Grovyle avatar for something like 2 months, and you're the first person to say something. My 2 & 5 yr old are huge Pokemon fans, and I'll admit, I actually started digging it after awhile.

Star Wars is OBVIOUSLY where it's at. No worries, my heart will always remain in a place a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away....

Who would win? Darth Maul in Epi I or in EU (before Lars killed him)?
The Epi I, intact version of him. I found him a lot more menacing in that form. Did you read Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter? I would've liked to have seen a little more of the depth of the character in the movie. Same with Count Dooku, Grievous, Mace Windu, etc....

What would a Jedi play? Guitar? Bass? Shamisen?
I think the Jedi would be really good bass players. Why is that? Neither crave such things as adventure and excitement.

Hot dog: what kinda sauce? Ketchup? Mostard? Clean?
If available, I'd go for mustard, a little ketchup, onions, and sauerkraut. Maybe some cheese or relish if there's no kraut.

Re: Well Episode XVI: Return of the Jedi + X

Only read the skimmy on that one.

As a Starwars nut, where do you stand on LOTR? Are you devided by both as I am? Ashamed to admit you love it more than SW? What is LOTR compared to the mighty kickassery in SW?

Re: Well Episode XVI: Return of the Jedi + X

My devotion to Star Wars is very largely due to my age. I still have the stuff from when I was in the SW fan club when I was like 4, and (thanks to my dad's work renting a theater to play the first two), I saw them all in the theater in their original forms. My opinions are always changing in regards to everything, but SW is probably the only thing I've been constant on for my whole life.

I absolutely love LOTR, and had I been born 20 years later than I was, I'd probably really dig SW, and be a LOTR freak. Embarrassingly enough, I've not read the LOTR trilogy, and really need to. Overall, I like sci-fi a bit more than fantasy stuff, so I guess their rankings make sense.

I also get to watch SW far more often, as LOTR is WAAAAAY too violent for the kids. Epi III does require some censoring for their viewing, though.

Re: Well Episode XVI: Return of the Jedi + X

Ever got into the Fighting Fantasy books?

Got a few of them, fun stuff.

Re: Well Episode XVI: Return of the Jedi + X

Did you read "Tiger Tiger!" (A.K.A Stars my destiny)???If yes ,what's your thoughts?
If no...Go and get it..one of the best Sci_Fi books ever!!!

Re: Well Episode XVI: Return of the Jedi + X

How long is your snake? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Well Episode XVI: Return of the Jedi + X

Since Dave neglected to answer, I'll ask you:

Meerkat or prairiedog?

Re: Well Episode XVI: Return of the Jedi + X

I'm not really big on rodents/pests. To be honest, if I can't feed them to my snake, I'm not likely to care about them much.

Having said that, though, I'll go with the meerkat. I watched some animal planet thing about them awhile back, and it was cool. Isn't one of the guys from The Lion King a meerkat?

Re: Well Episode XVI: Return of the Jedi + X

You once told me over the phone to never get married... Do you still stand by this advice?

Re: Well Episode XVI: Return of the Jedi + X

If you had to share a house with an orangutan or a rogue bobcat, which would you choose?

Do you have all your teeth? Are they all real? ( I only ask as I have a fake tooth... hahaha)

What is your favorite condiment?

What is the most impressive thing you've ever done? In other words, what is your most proud moment?

Would you play this guitar?

If you had to eat only one culinary style of food for the rest of your life what would it be?

That is all I can think of for now... :D

Wow, that sounds like me!! I watched Ep III again yesterday, just because I could. I got 3 chapters in to the Hobbit and stopped reading and have never attempted the LOTR trilogy...

Where and when did you have your greatest onstage moment?

Which SW vehicle would you most like to own?

Re: Well Episode XVI: Return of the Jedi + X

Marriage is a wonderful institution. If you like institutions.

Haha.... I believe my wife and I were on the outs at the time, and I in a not-very-good overall mindset. I would still advise that you take time to realize what you're getting into.

man, what kind of music do you like?
I like metal, but not nearly to the extent I used to. I love jazz, particularly fusion and free jazz. One of my favorite albums in a long time is Jauqo III-X's "The Low C# Theory" http://www.jauqoiii-x.com/JK_pages/JK_current.html
Check out his site for details, but essentially, it's a phenomenally creative bass player, Al DiMeola's drummer, and two really out-there guitarists who couldn't hear or see each other while recording.

how was Incubus? i'm listening to their album - Make Yourself. right now
That free concert took them from a band that I was eh, ok about to one of my favorites. I was expecting a run of the mill modern rock show, but they're as good as anybody I've seen. All their albums are fantastic, but Make Yourself is definitely a high point. If you don't have Light Grenades, get it now.

Heh.... Are you speaking of the 'stang or LP? I was already pretty much turned out by the time I got to the Mustang. I thought that thing was absolutely fantastic, until I started getting a bunch of different guitars. After that, it didn't get played for a really long time, then I ended up selling it for a lot more than I paid. If I had the chance to buy it back, I probably would, but I know I'd end up selling it to you or Slade.... somebody that actually liked it for what it was, not for sentiment or as a collector's piece.

Oh, and speaking of Shakira....
