It's raining NGD's...but these are special..

No problem ..all my threads tend to go all over the place...

I think my Mordaunt Short's have passive radiators too......the other cheap powered ones have woofers..

Really love my MS 908's though. I don't think I'd change them for anything out there (that I can afford). Had a pair of massive Tannoy's take their place for a while a few years ago...but after a short while the MS's were.back & the Tannoy's were gone... :bigthumb:

Sentient neck pup..

Again a very smooth modern sounding pup..pairs excellently with the Nazgul in the bridge.. :bigthumb:

Thanks ... and sorry ..my monitors are very detailed/revealing 3-way Yamaha NS-20M's from the 80's..so I tend to mix things low 'cause of the way they make the slightest detail pop..

also for reasons of modesty :p

This has the Sentient solo higher in the mix..

...and again ....w/ my JVM410..

I mean, who uses the middle pup? But it..sounds great w/ that Marshall bite :bigthumb:

Occasionally yeah, I guess I do too. Most of the stuff I play is w/ the bridge pup....like 90% of the time. But at times I do use both neck & middle pups...just to mix things up a bit...

I love single sized humbuckers in the middle. My fave is probably the 'lil Screaming Demon in my Jackson Dinky which is sadly out of commission at the moment...

The first half of this is with the lil Screaming Demon...followed by the Lace Deathbucker bridge pup..

Amp's my Solid State AMT Stonehead

Love the way the Demon Sounds :bigthumb:

With the inquiring mind that I have, I had to know if the Cort X500 Menace could do deeply emotional & heart-wrenching ballads & I was pleased to see that it could despite the excessive gain on my JVM's OD2 Red channel:bigthumb:

This one plays like butter :bigthumb:

Funny thing is, if they had'nt come stock in these guitar's I'd probably have never tried out any of the newer SD offering's like the Nazgul, Sentient & Pegasus....and they're all awesome pup's :bigthumb:

All these absolutely killer new guitars have made me kinda neglect my beloved Saber's over the last couple months ..so it was nice to grab one again, the last one I bought actually (my S Prestige).... & re-affirm how incredible they are.... :bigthumb:

I will say the FGN (s) are no slouches either....

And they also have the smoothest finishes I've ever felt on satin/natural/unfinished necks. Don't know what they do to them but they are a cut above any other guitar with an unfinished neck (ie no oils/varnishes etc) I've ever played....it's unreal how smooth/fast they are..

The pups in this Strat are also fantastic....I don't miss the Duncan's in the Koa one at all (great though those sound as well) :bigthumb:

The only "Classic" guitar type I actually like is the Stratocaster. LP's sound great but play like **** (imo) & Tele's are the ugliest most unergonomic/uncomfortable guitar's I've ever laid eyes on. Still for the sake of completeness I do have my AXL Badwater LP style axe & off late for some reason I've been thinking of Tele's...not traditional ones but something with a more ergonomic shape/better (higher output) pups & maybe finished better. With my newfound love for FGN axes....it's possible something like this will fit the bill...

Kinda matches my FGN Koa Strat too :lmao

But eh, no more guitar's :laugh2:

And ...just out of curiosity. What makes a Tele sound like a Tele?

I mean...really?

Here we have a body with a belly cut, forearm cut, humbuckers (JB/Jazz), different bridge/saddles....

..and yep sounds like uhh ..a Tele. :lmao:
